Quick, Quiet, and Always On: The Snark Tuner
Yeah, I know , there are free tuning apps for your phone. But if you’ve ever reached for one during a rehearsal or a lesson, you know they’re not always the fastest solution. The Snark clip-on tuner just lives on your headstock and gets the job done. No cables, no tapping around on your screen, no guessing. Just turn it on, pluck a string, and dial it in.

What I like most is how quick it responds and how easy it is to check tuning between songs, especially in a lesson or while tracking. I don’t have to unplug or mute, just glance down and get back to playing.
I currently have the one that runs on those little CR2032 batteries, so I always keep a couple extras in my case. The tuner lasts a while, but when it dies, it dies quick, so it's good to have one ready.
You can clip it onto just about any guitar, acoustic or electric, and the screen rotates, which makes it super convenient whether you’re sitting, standing, or teaching from a weird angle like I usually am.
If you haven’t tried one yet, check out the Snark tuner here I use this exact model. But there is a newer version that is rechargeable [HERE]
The buttons on the back are for altering the tuning reference and activating the silent metronome.
I’ll also drop a link for the batteries I keep on hand. These are affiliate links, which means if you grab one through here, it helps support the content I share.
